- What you’re seeing: rankings, calls, signed cases, or a gap between them
- Your website, so I can take a first look before we talk

Sound familiar?
Most messages I get start with one of these. Pick the closest match on the form, and I’ll know where to begin.
“Our rankings went up. Our calls didn’t.”
Where I’d start
Lining up rankings against calls and signed cases, month by month, to find where the two split.
On the form: Legal SEO
“Competitors get named in ChatGPT, and we don’t.”
Where I’d start
Running unbranded prompts by hand in Google AI, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity to see who gets named, and why it isn’t you.
On the form: AI search visibility
“We pay an agency and can’t tell what it’s doing.”
Where I’d start
An independent look at what you’re paying for, what was delivered and what it produced.
On the form: Reviewing my agency or vendors
“Nobody at the firm owns marketing.”
Where I’d start
Fractional CMO work. One person sets priorities, directs your vendors and reports on signed cases.
On the form: Fractional CMO
“We get calls, but not signed cases.”
Where I’d start
Following the lead after it comes in: who answers, how fast, and where good cases slip away. Most firms are shocked to learn how much of their marketing problem happens after the lead comes in.
On the form: Fractional CMO
What happens after you send it
No sales sequence. Three steps, and you can stop after any of them.
You send a message
I read it and reply within 24 hours. If something’s unclear, I’ll ask rather than guess.
We talk
A free call, usually 20–30 minutes, about your firm, your market and what you’ve tried. If you’d rather skip the form, call me at (908) 543-4736.
I tell you where I’d start
For SEO and AI search, that’s usually an audit: from $500, with a 90-day roadmap included. For fractional CMO work, it’s the Client Acquisition Diagnostic. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so.
Recent result: personal injury, South Florida
From page two to the Map Pack in six months
The audit found a site scoring 7 out of 100 for mobile speed, internal links pointing to a different law firm, and three versions of the firm’s name across the web. We fixed the foundation first, then rewrote the practice pages around what a client needs to know.
Delivered through Verdict Digital Marketing, which I own. Results are specific to this client and engagement and are not a guarantee of future performance.

This is for you if
- Your SEO has plateaued, or you want more from it and your content
- You want to show up in ChatGPT and other AI platforms
- You want a top legal SEO and AI search specialist with 15+ years in legal marketing leading your account, not a team that learned law firms recently
- You don’t know what all your vendors are doing
- You’re paying an agency and can’t tell whether it’s doing enough
- You want to turn more calls into good cases
Probably not a fit if
- You want a guarantee you’ll be number one by Friday
- You’re looking for the lowest-priced option
- You like a monthly report that says “impressions are up” and nothing else
- You’re comfortable with mediocre SEO and a vendor who’s “working on it”
- You’d rather hear everything is going great than what’s actually working
Who you’d work with
Your message comes to me
I’m Michael O’Grady. I’ve spent 20+ years in SEO and 15+ years in legal marketing, including Martindale-Hubbell and Martindale-Avvo, where I directed 120+ accounts in a single year.
I work with law firms only, and I do the thinking on your account myself rather than handing you to an account manager.
More about me →Before you send it
What should I put in my message?
What you want help with, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re seeing in rankings, calls or signed cases. Add your website if you can. A few sentences is plenty.
Can I include details about my firm’s clients or cases?
Please don’t. Don’t include confidential client information in your message. I don’t need it to tell you where I’d start.
Do you only work with law firms?
On this site, yes. I own Verdict Digital Marketing. Verdict also takes clients outside of legal, so if you’re not a law firm, that’s the better place to ask.
Do I have to switch agencies to work with you?
No. I direct vendors; I don’t replace them. Plenty of firms keep their agency and bring me in to set priorities and check the work.
What does it cost to get started?
For SEO and AI search, audits start at $500, and the 90-day roadmap comes with the audit. Ongoing advisory is quoted after the audit. Fractional CMO work is quoted after we talk, because the scope depends on your firm.
Is the first call free?
Yes. It’s a free call, usually 20 to 30 minutes, and I reply to every message within 24 hours. The call is about your firm and what you’ve tried, not a sales pitch.
Do you work with solo practitioners?
Yes. A solo firm in one market needs a narrower plan than a multi-office firm, not a lesser one.
Can you guarantee results?
No. Nobody controls Google’s rankings or what an AI assistant recommends. I’ll tell you what I’d fix, why, and how we’ll measure it.
