Your agency closed overnight. Your website, phones and leads don’t have to go with it.
I’m Michael O’Grady. I help law firms take back control of the domain, hosting, ad accounts and tracking numbers PMP managed, then move everything to accounts your firm owns or point you to a legal marketing partner that fits.
- Free 30-minute triage call
- One-time rescue, no retainer
- Everything ends up in accounts your firm owns
This isn’t a marketing problem yet. It’s an intake problem.
A normal agency switch comes with notice and a handoff. A same-day closure skips both. PMP hosted many client sites on its own platform, so the pieces your phones and forms depend on may sit in accounts your firm can’t reach.
Your site and domain
Sites on Sites Made Perfect hosting, or domains registered to the agency, can go dark without warning and take your email with them.
Your tracking numbers
The numbers on your TV spots, billboards and Google Business Profile are often set up in the agency’s account. If they lapse, calls stop.
Your ads and data
Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Analytics and Search Console hold years of history. If they sit under PMP’s login, that history is at risk.
The 72-hour checklist
Before you hire anyone or redesign anything, lock down what you own and prove leads are still landing. Hand this list to whoever runs intake and your accounts.
Stuck on a step? That’s what the free triage call is for.
Book a free 30-minute call- 01Domain and DNSFind the registrar and whose name is on the account. If it’s the agency’s, moving it to the firm comes first.
- 02Website and hostingGet a full backup (files, database, media, theme, plugins and forms) and ask in writing how the site can be moved.
- 03Call tracking numbersList every number, who owns it, and how to port it into an account the firm controls.
- 04Ad accounts and billingConfirm who owns Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Microsoft and Meta, what’s still running, and who’s paying. Export history before pausing anything.
- 05Analytics, Search Console and Google Business ProfileSomeone at the firm needs owner or admin access to each, plus Tag Manager and any reporting dashboards.
- 06Every lead pathSubmit each form, call each number, start a chat. Confirm alerts reach the right inbox and leads reach your CRM. Repeat after every change.
- 07TV, radio and outdoor buysContact stations and vendors directly: what’s booked, what’s paid, what’s set to air.

Need a new partner? Don’t sign with the first agency that calls.
Every legal marketing shop is pitching former PMP clients right now. I know the field, and I’ll point you to partners suited to your practice area, market, budget and media mix, or work with you directly if that’s the better fit.
Recommendations are free. You get a straight answer, not a sales funnel.
What I vet every recommendation for

Hi, I’m Michael O’Grady.
I’ve spent 20+ years in SEO and 15+ in legal marketing, including time at LexisNexis, Martindale-Hubbell and Martindale-Avvo. I work with law firms directly as a consultant or fractional CMO, so you get senior attention, not a rotating account team.
When an agency closes, the hardest part is not knowing what you control. My job is to replace that uncertainty with a clear list and a plan.
Past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
Questions former PMP clients are asking
Did Practice Made Perfect really close?
A notice sent to clients said PMP Marketing Group would cease operations on October 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. PMP had not made a public announcement and its website stayed online, so treat your assets as at risk and act now.
Will moving my website hurt my SEO?
Not if it’s planned. Keeping your domain, preserving page URLs and content, and redirecting anything that changes protects your rankings. The real SEO danger is losing control of the domain or the site itself.
What happens to sites hosted on Sites Made Perfect?
There’s no public plan yet. Confirm you own your domain, get a full backup, and plan a move to hosting your firm controls before anything goes offline.
PMP ran our Google Ads and Local Services Ads. Should we open new accounts?
Not yet. First confirm owner or admin access, export campaign history, and document billing, conversions, landing pages and phone numbers. Then decide what to keep, transfer or rebuild.
Do I have to sign a retainer?
No. The rescue and move is a one-time project, and agency recommendations are free. Ongoing marketing is a separate conversation, only if you want it.
Tell me what’s at risk. I’ll tell you the first move.
I reply to every former PMP client within 4 business hours. If your site or phones are down right now, call.
